Hunterdon Harmonizers Proclamation

Tonight I had the opportunity to honor the Hunterdon Harmonizers for their years of volunteering to sing the National Anthem at the 4th of July parade and for the very well attended “twilight” concert in the park in celebration of the 60th anniversary of New Jersey’s oldest 4th of July parade.

Accepting the proclamation is Lee Roth, President of the Hunterdon Harmonizers.
THANKS GUYS FOR A BEAUTIFUL CONCERT!

Here is the proclamation:

BOROUGH OF LEBANON

COUNTY OF HUNTERDON

STATE OF NEW JERSEY

PROCLAMATION – Hunterdon Harmonizers


WHEREAS, the Hunterdon Harmonizers were formed in 1984 as a New Jersey not-for- profit corporation
where members hail from throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania and range in age from early-teens to mid-80s; and,


WHEREAS,
the Hunterdon Harmonizers rank in the top 15 of 97 in the mid-Atlantic district,
and in the top 120 choruses out of 809 in the world; and,


WHEREAS, the mission of the Hunterdon Harmonizers is to promote and preserve the truly
American art form known as barbershop harmony, four-part a cappella style singing; and,


WHEREAS, the Hunterdon Harmonizers perform approximately 12 different events per year to include:

· Annual Singing Valentines

· Hunterdon County Summer Concert Series – Deer Path Park

· Flemington Holiday and Memorial Day parades

· Clinton Dickens Days

· Various nursing homes throughout Hunterdon County; and


WHEREAS, the Hunterdon Harmonizers have won many awards in their long and illustrious career to include the latest
in 2007 for the AAA Plateau Chorus Champ, first among New Jersey choruses at Northern Division; and,


WHEREAS,
the Hunterdon Harmonizers have produced 2 recordings:

· Patriotic and Inspirational in 2006

· Hunterdon Harmony Holiday in 2002; and,


WHEREAS, the Hunterdon Harmonizers are being recognized for their valued contribution during the 4th of July parade of singing our National Anthem for the past 6 years and of a special “Twilight” concert in the park in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Lebanon Borough 4th of July Parade.

 

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED, that, on this 18th day of July, I, Mark E. Paradis, Lebanon Borough Mayor, wish to thank the Hunterdon Harmonizers on behalf of the parade committee and residents of Lebanon Borough for helping make the 60th anniversary of New Jersey’s oldest 4th of July parade such a huge success.
