Last Night’s Planning Board Meeting
Standing room only at last nights Council meeting - another indication of the need to move forward with a new facility to comfortably accommodate our residents and community.
SSP made a brief update to the proposed Municipal building renovations to include more financial data to back up the plan. More data will be included and a final proposal will be shown at the upcoming Council meeting. A request was made that the Planning Board take this last bit of information and review in order to make a formal recommendation to the Council. I believe it is important to have the Planning Board make this recommendation in order to add credibility and Planning oversight to such a large project. The intent at this point would be to hold numerous public meetings to ensure a thorough understanding of the proposal from the residents at large. Information on these meetings will be forthcoming.
Artisan Kitchens came before the ZBA for a propsal to construct a restaurant in the Lebanon Plaza. Due to prior approval for a larger Chinese restaurant - the applicant will be allowed to move forward with the new restaurant. More information to come.
CBS Outdoor started the first of many hearings on a proposed billboard to be erected at the Stow-Away facility on Werner Way in Lebanon Borough. Initial discussions from both CBS Outdoor and the ZBA (Zoning Board of Adjustment) were direct. Items such as traffic safety and type of advertising were brought up. Many residents from Clinton Twp who would be adversely effected were also in attendance - public comments were included - some heated debate ensued. CBS Outdoor will continue at the next ZBA meeting on June 13 at 7PM.
Mr. Mogglia, owner of Lebanon Plaza was on hand for approval to install a sidewalk to a small building on the East portion of his facility. The building has not been used in some time and would become rented office space. The sidewalk would make the facility ADA compliant.
The Pizzo and Pizzo project was tabled to the next meeting on June 13 in order to review the revised resolution and due to the lateness of the evening. If nothing else - it looked as the project will move forward and the one pressing issue of the Storm Water Mitigation plan that needed a waiver granted, has been resolved.
